how we started
OUR ROUTE
1988
We are Stamatis and Maria…
We timidly started our first creations in an empty room of our house about 33 years ago!
1988
In this room Stamatis with his first drill assembled the first kitchen furniture assigned to him by a friend. After that, we built ourselves a small workshop in the yard of Stamatis’ father, bought a small cutting machine, a cutter and a compresser and started the first furniture assemblies.
1995
Stamatis showed Maritsa (that’s how he calls her) how to use the falsokoftis and Maria from the pieces and leftovers of the wood made her first tables, which were painted in black lacquer.
The work was slowly growing and in 1995 we bought larger machines for cutting and processing wood and moved to a larger, neighborhood, rented space.
New space, new workshop, new knowledge, new experiences and a new family. Recently our twin girls had come into the world raising our family and our dreams!
1997
The “Furniture Provatas Stamatis” was transferred to a more central point in Acharnes, Attica, while multiplying our partners.
2009
After years of hard work and investment in know-how and technology, we moved to a new privately owned space, which houses our laboratory until today.
2014
Having ecological consciousness and environmental sensitivity, we have included in our services the maintenance, restoration and restoration of lifting and used furniture.
2015
Maria was inspired by WOORD (from the words wood and word) and our 1st showroom with restored furniture and handmade wooden creations opened its doors.
2020
We joined forces, expanded our activities and welcomed our 2nd multidimensional showroom.
