ONE-HOUR ENAMEL is water-based, so no fire hazard or unpleasant odor. The product is based on a specialized acrylic resin that dries quickly to a tough, durable film that has excellent weathering, blocking, and abrasion resistance along with superior adhesion properties. The color self-levels to a satin finish giving an even result. 90% polymerizes in one hour after the paint dries. Wise Owl Paint™ Tips for PRO Results
- Don’t overwork. Apply enough paint so that it has enough product to level itself but avoid drips.
- Use Wise Owl’s Stain Eliminating Primer as a primer for superior adhesion.
- Do not use wax over enamel.
- The recommended repainting time is 2 hours.
- If you are using OHE on a floor or kitchen counter, Wise Owl’s SATIN Varnish is recommended as a top coat if you are painting a light color, if it is in a high-traffic area, or if it is in a place that will see heavy moisture such as kitchens and bathrooms.
- Use a 3/16-inch microfiber roller. If you are painting with a spray gun, you can thin with water if necessary but not more than 10%.
- If you use glaze over enamel, you don’t need to use varnish first. Apply the glaze directly over the enamel. You need to seal the glaze with varnish right after.
